A two-day Business Seminar programme focusing on key topics pertinent to the successful running of a salon will form part of the Professional Beauty Johannesburg Expo, which runs on 3 & 4 September at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand.
The Business Seminar stage is situated within the expo to give delegates ample opportunity to see what leading beauty and nail suppliers have on show, in between their sessions.
One of the sessions will show delegates how to keep their finances in check, as well as give pointers on debt management, accounting and payroll. For those beauty professionals wanting to start their own salon, there will be a session devoted to the financial rules for setting up a salon.
Trying to figure out how best to insure your beauty business can be challenging, which is why a session on this very topic has specifically been included it in this year’s seminar programme.
There will be a panel discussion on what it takes to become a successful beauty entrepreneur, while another session will detail how to identify and seize opportunities to increase your revenue streams.
Other topics to be covered over the two-day seminar programme are customer service; whether or not salon technologies are a good investment; leveraging both online and offline marketing; and how to make sure your staff is on par to meet your customers’ needs.
Among the speakers already confirmed to present at the seminar programme are salon owners Sonette Donker and Gina Gall. Other speakers include Diana van Sittert, Amanda Harrod, Helena van de Vyver, Marlon Naidoo and Rechelle Kloeck.
