With the deadline for applications having closed on 18 January, the World Spa & Wellness (WSW) team is busy selecting the 36 lucky spa professionals from around the world that will participate in the mini mentorship programme.
Those selected will also feature in a live panel discussion at the WSW Online Conference, which runs from Sunday, 28 February to Tuesday, 2 March. This conference will form part of the Professional Beauty World online event.
WSW mentees will each select one of the three following themes: Caring for our teams; Bringing back guests; and driving engagement online. They will also have at least one, one-to-one session with their mentor in February and, during the same month, meet online to share their experiences and discuss solutions with their mentor and three fellow spa professionals.
In addition, they will be tasked to prepare their ideas and continue their problem solving in front of the industry live, at the WSW Online Conference.
Mentors include: Andrea Lomas, head of Group Spa Operations Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group; Emlyn Brown, global vice president Well-Being at Accor; Dave Courteen, founder & managing director Mosaic Spa; Christelle Besnier, senior spa director, Four Seasons Hotels; Louise Moore, director Spa Operations & Development, Hilton Group; Ghislain Waeyaert, vice president Development, Deep Nature; Kenneth Ryan, vice president - Global Operations: Spa, Fitness & Online Retail at Marriott International; Kent Richards, corporate operations director, Six Senses Hotels Resorts & Spas; and Beth Stiller, CEO and Julie Cary, CMO, Massage Envy Franchising LLC.
