World Wellness Weekend launches new website

As many countries start re-opening mid-May and in June, World Wellness Weekend (WWW) launches a brand-new website on 11 May, with many upgraded features to give exposure to wellness-related professionals around the globe.

The fourth annual WWW is scheduled to take place this year from 19 to 20 September and is set to be celebrated in 120 countries around the globe. WWW aims to inspire and empower people to make healthier choices and enjoy an active lifestyle with family and friends. Participating properties will host free and fun wellness activities during the event.

Upgraded features on the new WWW website include: access to 11 languages (English, Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Dutch, Greek, Russian, Arabic, Hindi and Malay); a one-click geo-locator to find wellness professionals near you; and a Wellness Pledge to positively touch the lives of millions of people.

Says WWW founder, Jean-Guy de Gabriac of Tip Touch International: “Our 50 WWW Ambassadors have worked tirelessly to translate, so that venues in their cities and countries can register online in their own language to showcase their activities for locals.

“The Blog section of the website features tips from experts around the world and registered venues about the 5 Pillars of Wellness – Sleep, Nutrition, Vitality, Serenity and Solidarity. We will soon add video sessions.”

De Gabriac emphasises that World Wellness Weekend wishes to positively impact the lives of millions, near and far, by encouraging people to take the WWW Wellness Pledge. He continues: “Decide on your personal wellness objective among the 5 Pillars of Wellness. Ask one of your friends or colleagues to become your Wellness Buddy.

“Each week, put some money in a ‘wellness jar’ or a piggy bank (e.g. the equivalent value of sugary snacks you managed not to buy and eat, or cigarettes you succeeded not to buy and smoke.) On WWW, celebrate the achievement of your personal goal, see how much money you have put aside, and donate it to a local charity or an NGO of your choice.”
