The global wellness trend has infiltrated the wilds of South Africa in the form of a ‘Winter Wellness’package introduced at Jock Safari Lodge in the Kruger National Park.
Designed to provide guests with an unforgettable sensory experience in the bush, the package uses Africa’s earthly oils encapsulated in soothing Healing Earth spa products.
Included are a complimentary African scalp massage treatment, as well as a relaxing Pilgrims Dream Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage. Additionally, the ‘Winter Wellness’ package also includes two daily game drives, wilderness walks, all meals, a selection of house beverages, as well as a high tea.
Each of the 12 secluded thatched suites at Jock Safari Lodge boast an extensive private deck, an outdoor Victorian bath and shower, as well as a plunge pool and an enclosed sala (day bed) for daydreaming and sleep-outs.
The Lodge was named after Jock of the Bushveld, the canine hero of Sir Percy Fitzpatrick’s famous story of the same name, set during South Africa’s first gold rush era.
Founded in 1982 by the Niven family, descendants of Sir Percy Fitzpatrick, the Lodge was the first private concession granted within South Africa’s largest national park.
