Travellers warned about CBD oil and Emirates

With the current global trend of including CBD oil into skincare products on the increase, the British government recently issued a warning not to take products containing this ingredient into the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

As a report on CNN Travel pointed out, the Emirates is a country with a policy of zero tolerance for bringing drugs into the country.

The CNN Travel report stated: “While the UAE's strict views on drug trafficking are well known, the UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has reminded travellers that even if they don't see the drug, it doesn't mean it's not there.

“In particular, the FCO warns that ‘some skincare products may contain ingredients that are illegal in the UAE, such as CBD oil, which contains cannabidiol, a substance found in the marijuana plant.”
