A thorough consultation must be done prior to a performing a course of chemical peels to prevent compromising the client’s skin and the treatment results.
Part of the consultation must include a thorough analysis of the skin to determine factors such as the oil production, level of hydration and thickness of the skin. This is so as to prepare the skin correctly. Both the prep and the aftercare must be very clearly explained to the client.
To find out what else needs to be covered in the consultation, read Sonette Donker’s article on pages 29 to 31 of the June issue of the Professional Beauty magazine.
