One of the latest global trends to hit the beauty sector is skincare that combats ‘blue light’. Known as HEVL (High Energy Visible Light), ‘blue light’ is emitted by computers, smart phones, TVs and even fluorescent lights.
Some studies have shown that HEVL can break down collagen and cause hyperpigmentation. Skincare brands are now investing R&D into products that fight the ravaging effects of ‘blue light’.
Professional Beauty October/November issue is running a special feature on ‘blue light’ skincare. Email joanna@probeauty.co.za for more info.
