SA gears up for World Wellness Weekend

The World Wellness Weekend Map

Several South African spa, fitness, wellness and beauty properties are preparing to participate in World Wellness Weekend (WWW), two days of free and fun activities that will take place across the globe on 18 and 19 September 2021.

“There is no nobler mission in life than to encourage each and every one to become the best version of themselves in alignment with their heart, head and gut,” says Jean-Guy de Gabriac, founder of WWW, a collaborative platform inspiring and empowering people everywhere to make healthier choices, enjoy longevity and partake in purpose-driven activities with friends and family.

Among the South African properties thus confirmed for WWW are One&Only Spa Cape Town, Cape Grace Hotel, The Spa at the Oyster Box, Canvas Aesthetics, LivWell Therapy NLP Coaching, Ellerman House, Jia Life Wellness Spa, Tiger Athletic Fitness & Conditioning, NShape Pilates, Capoera Valente, Conscious You Wellness Centre, Exclusive Wellness Studio, Fresh Fix, Splash H20 Diving, Food4Life, and JumpFit Arcade Fitness Club. Also participating are the DMR Institute of Beauty and the Authentic Beauty Institute.

All social distancing and COVID-19 protocols will be adhered to during the WWW activities.

“Now, more than ever, people are realising the true importance of health and well-being. We have become more conscious in making holistic health choices, which is imperative to lead a healthier life,” says Madeleine Colling, owner of Canvas Aesthetics in Benoni and WWW’s Johannesburg Ambassador.

She notes that Canvas Aesthetics will proudly host a Health and Wellness Experience in celebration of WWW on 18 September 2021, from 09h00 to 14h00.

“We have joined forces with various health and wellness professionals and enthusiasts to showcase WWW’s five key pillars for living well. These pillars are: Sleep & Creativity; Nutrition & Immunity; Vitality & Movement; Serenity & Mindfulness; and Purpose & Solidarity.

“The Health and Wellness Experience promises to deliver a day of fun, interactive, educational and wellness activities at no cost to attendees. You can look forward to participating and meeting professionals on-site who will provide consultations, product knowledge and transformational experiences,” explains Colling.

Platinum Gold Radio will be broadcasting live from the Canvas Aesthetics WWW event, generating awareness, excitement, and engagement across the country, encouraging the importance of making right decisions around holistic health and wellness.

Activities include showcasing various aesthetics treatments, such as Pressotherapy, which stimulates blood flow and the lymphatic system, removes toxins and is good for concerns like water retention and aching muscles. The luxury Ozone capsule will also be on display, and participants can discover how ozone is delivered in the blood, how it reacts with oxidizable substrates, killing viruses, fungi and bacteria, etc, and how it stimulates oxygen metabolism in the body.

Tracey Clark, skin specialist at Juliette Armand, will be on hand to offer in-depth skin analysis, while other professionals will give advice on supplementation and de-mystify CBD oil.

Jumpfit Arcade will host a fun ‘jump off’ for participants to test their fitness. A Registered dietician and motivational speaker will be available to chat about healthy eating to fit to your lifestyle and to use food to boost mood and energy levels. Addiction Recovery Centre (ARC) will have a presence at the event to assist individuals by offering a holistic approach to mental health care.
