Professional Beauty Cape Town & Durban postponed due to coronavirus

Updated: Mar 17

In line with President Ramaphosa’s SONA address on 15 March, in which he declared the coronavirus pandemic a national disaster, Professional Beauty has postponed its Cape Town and Durban events.

The President has banned any gatherings of more than a hundred people until the end of Easter (17 April) at least, as a means of trying to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Says Professional Beauty commercial director, Phil Woods: “It is with regret that we have decided to postpone the Professional Beauty Cape Town Conference and the Durban Professional Beauty Expo until later in the year. As event organisers, we have a duty of care to all concerned and taking into consideration the President’s speech regarding the situation, we have no choice but to take this action.

“We will announce the new dates for the events in the near future once we have discussed this with the venues and the sponsors. Thank you for your understanding.”
