Planet-inspired make-up top of Pinterest’s beauty trends

Professional Beauty UK reports that make-up in 2020 will likely focus on a space-inspired theme, as evidenced by an incredible 217% search increase on social media site, Pinterest.

This theme of make-up has made Pinterest’s Top 100 List of Trends for 2020.

Amanda Pauley writes: “The ‘outer-space daydreams’ theme will see intergalactic purple lip gloss, black lipstick and icy blue eyeshadow soar in popularity. This ties in nicely with global colour authority Pantone’s Colour of the Year 2020, which is Classic Blue.”

Pauley notes that ‘accessible wellness’ also features in Pinterest’s Top 100 List and is likely to make a big impact on the beauty and spa industry. “2020 will see wellness become more accessible for the masses, with a focus on simple habits people can instill into their everyday lives to boost their mood and wellbeing. Social media detoxes will surge,” she writes.
