Qualified aesthetic therapist, Ansa Bronkhorst, has been appointed president of SAAHSP, the Professional Body for the Skin, Body & Nail Care Industry.
Bronkhorst, who has a great love for education and is committed to the upliftment of the industry, has been serving on the SAAHSP board for the past 18 months as a director.
Says Bronkhorst: “It is with sincere honour and pride that I stand before you to serve as the SAAHSP president for the term 2021-2023. I wish for you to join hands with me as we strive to make SAAHSP the sturdiest advocate for industry regulations and support of our professions.
“As we begin to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, there is much to be done. We have been made aware of the importance of humankind to articulate shared goals and mutual commitments. Everyone has been greatly affected by this public health emergency and once again reminded of the importance of continued education and commitment to our industry’s well-being. The challenges that our members have had to go through, either personally or professionally, have changed our lives irrevocably. We had to change the way we think, the way we plan and the way we teach. In these difficult circumstances, we must continue our efforts to make this industry a rock-solid foundation for upcoming students, experienced therapists, business owners and aspirant future scholars of our industry, by adding value to everything that we do.
“As an organisation, we have redoubled our commitment to the education, marketing, ethical behaviour and compliance to standards that we were once again reminded of by this pandemic. We vouch to look after our members’ needs and concerns, by being human, by having a heart and by offering a helping hand. We are committed to making 2021 a year of reflection, creating memories, building relationships and being there for each other. So we join hands with many stakeholders in the industry to bring you the best experience with fulfilled promises. We stand in unity as a new team, strengthening our capacities and capabilities to represent you, as we are only as strong as our members.
