New SA skincare brand launches

25 February 2019

Johannesburg-based Debbie Wolfendale of She Wolf Consulting has launched the DermaClinical range, positioned as an aesthetic brand for aesthetic practitioners.

At a recent launch held at the African Pride Melrose Arch Hotel, Wolfendale, who has over 30 years of experience in skincare from leading international brands, said: “DermaClinical cannot be purchased off the shelf without consultation, so it needs to be in a practice or a salon. Our brand ethos is: ‘Treat first for skin health’.

“We have created five DermaClinical ranges but in each, we have our own bespoke ingredients. These pure ingredients have been chosen for skin health and efficacy and each lab that we use has its own speciality. The majority of these labs are in the US. DermaClinical was conceived as a clean beauty brand and is mostly based on serums, which are like the scaffolding of the skin.”

Wolfendale noted that DermaClinical products are designed to treat a condition, rather than being for men, or women, or a particular skin type or colour. Key ingredients are retinol, peptides, collagen, hyaluronic acid and squalene – the latter is derived from olives.

The DermaClinical ranges are: My Skin Brighter, My Skin Clearer, My Skin Younger, My Skin Protected and My Skin Cleaner.
