Namibian spa exec shortlisted for World Spa & Wellness Awards

Mariane Akwenye of the Nomad Wellness Homestead in Windhoek, Namibia is a finalist in the Spa Leader of the Year: Sponsored by Gharieni category of the 2024 World Spa & Wellness Awards.

Regarded as the most prestigious accolade in the industry, the World Spa & Wellness Awards celebrate spas from around the world across 10 categories. These awards recognise excellence in wellness provision, treatment delivery customer care, business skill, leadership and sustainability.

Akwenye is up against senior spa executives from properties in the UK, Portugal, Qatar and Australia.

The following properties were shortlisted for the Spa of the Year – Middle East & Africa category: Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort Spa, Dubai, UAE; Cinq Mondes Spa, Raffles The Palm Dubai, Dubai, UAE; Spa Royal Mansour, Marrakech, Morroco; Talise Spa, Jumeirah Al Qasr, Dubai, UAE; The Pearl Spa and Wellness Jumeirah, Four Seasons Resort at Jumeirah Beach, Dubai, UAE; and Sharq Village & Spa, Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Doha, Qatar

Winners of the World Spa & Wellness Awards 2024 will be announced during a gala dinner at The Brewery, London, on 3 March, 2024.
