Updated: Jun 11, 2019
Feedback from exhibitors reveals that a good deal of business was conducted at the annual Professional Beauty Durban Expo, which took place on 2 June at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Says Phil Woods, commercial director of T.E. Trade Events, owner of Professional Beauty: “We were extremely pleased with all of our many exhibitors from the beauty, nails and aesthetics sectors and they, in turn, enjoyed robust business on the day.
“Attendance of the expo was good and our seminar programme proved to be extremely popular, with all seats taken.”
Exhibitor Janine Lategan of Pure Perfection says that from her side, the Professional Beauty Durban Expo was a success. “We have a lot of great leads from the show that we can follow up with and I’m excited about that. The expo gave us good exposure in the market, as we are looking for customers in the Durban area. The turnout of visitors was great.”
Seleena Pillay, Owner Nail Therapy, adds: “We had the best show ever this year.”
Pieter Vermeer of AMSco also had a very successful show day. “It was definitely a financially viable exercise for us and we had a number of visitors to our stand. I’m pleased to report that our visitors were all interested in the products. Many of those who came to our stand asked questions and then stayed on to watch our product videos.
“It was a good show and a rewarding experience for us, as many visitors left their details with us for further contact.”
Thyza Price of Venus Concept Africa also reports a very positive show day: “We had good quality visitors and a solid number of leads, as well as approximately 25% immediate requests for follow up visits.
“Thanks to the Professional Beauty team for their tremendous support leading up to and on the day of the event.”
Charlene Weidner of Spa & Salon Solutions comments: “We had so many people visiting our stand and we were very busy. Not only did we make good contacts, but we sold some stock to existing clients too.”
T.E. Trade Events is now preparing for its flagship event, Professional Beauty Johannesburg, the biggest trade show of its kind in Africa. Professional Beauty Johannesburg takes place on 1 & 2 September at Gallagher Convention Centre, alongside the World Spa & Wellness Africa Convention and the Aesthetic Medicine Convention.
