Identifying and developing your niche helps you to attract clients who closely align with your market position, which boosts conversions and customer loyalty.


So writes beauty business expert Liz McKeon in the July issue of Professional Beauty. She notes that choosing a niche is a major step in launching a successful business, so it’s not something that should be rushed through.


“One of the first things to do is to assess the competition, particularly those salons offering similar solutions to those in your niche areas of interest.


“Another important step in identifying your niche is to approach the process from a customer’s perspective. Think about the specific client your business will target,” says McKeon
