GWI expands resources for reopening protocols

The Global Wellness Institute (GWI) has launched a new resource comprising post COVID-19 reopening standards and toolkits.

GWI has aggregated information and protocols produced by leading associations and companies, making the most relevant available to wellness businesses around the world.

This new resource is part of GWI’s PositivelyWell movement, which was launched in early March to empower health and wellness in the age of coronavirus and shift the collective conversations away from fear and anxiety to focus on positivity, resilience and optimism.

“Hospitality brands from Hyatt to Marriott have announced new cleanliness and sanitation hygiene policies, while associations like ISPA and IHRSA are making recommendations to spas and fitness centres about how to address both their guests’ and staff’s new focus on health and safety post COVID-19,” said Susie Ellis, CEO and chair of the GWI. “We wanted to help wellness businesses, large and small, navigate this crucial information for successful reopenings.”

The new resource gives business leaders visibility into what their industry sector is doing to prepare for reopening by providing a list of best practices and enabling wellness consumers to understand what they can expect the next time they visit a hotel, spa, salon, fitness or other type of wellness establishment.

The page will be updated continuously as new reopening resources and protocols become available.
