Does your salon have that competitive edge?

Knowing what makes your salon special shows you what you need to focus on selling and what you could even drop, or forget about.

So says beauty business expert Liz McKeon in an article in the May 2023 issue of Professional Beauty. She continues: “Competition is healthy because it forces you to innovate, keeping you on your toes so that you don’t become complacent. Furthermore, it encourages you to provide the best possible service for your clients. But, it can also be frightening and frustrating when you know you are losing out on precious revenue that is going to other local salons.”

Among the tips that McKeon provides are to develop your own unique USPs and running a competitor analysis to see what other salons in your area might do and offer that you don’t.
