Celebrity make-up artist opens salon

One of South Africa’s most celebrated make-up artists, Neil Ramautar, has launched Beauty Guru (BG) Aesthetics in Durban North, KwaZulu Natal.

Described as a full-service holistic beauty and aesthetic centre, the salon offers anything from hair, nails and make-up services, to botulinum toxins injections and IV drip treatments – administered by registered medical practitioners.

According to Ramautar, the BG Aesthetics venture is unique because of its luxurious beauty offerings at affordable prices. He says: “The flagship Durban North branch is the first of many envisioned for across the country, with plans for expansion in new markets already underway.

“We are about to launch our own line-up of make-up and skincare specific to South African skin types and tones. I believe that every woman should feel beautiful and she should be able to treat herself to attainable, achievable beauty.”

Ramautar has a long-standing reputation of success in the South African beauty industry, having made-up the faces of some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, both locally and internationally. He has also worked as a senior make-up artist for the Miss South Africa Pageant and is a sought-after beauty educator.
