NeoStrata sees ‘red’ 26 July 2017 Image courtesy of Exuviance A serum that targets the underlying sources of redness on the skin has been launched by NeoStrata, with the added benefits of restoring and strengthening the skin’s protective barrier. Said Kelly Jefferson of Genop Healthcare, distributor of NeoStrata and its salon brand, Exuviance, at a launch held in Johannesburg last week: “The new Redness Neutralizing Serum is part of NeoStrata’s ‘Restore’ line of products and is particularly suited to sensitive skin prone to rosacea, or skin with atopic dermatitis. The serum is formulated with NeoStrata BioCalm Complex, a proprietary blend of bio-active ingredients that help interrupt the inflammation cascade, improve skin resiliency and reduce the appearance of flushing, while decreasing the potential for future redness-inducing triggers.” A patented Bionic/PHA formula helps restore and strengthen skin’s protective barrier. The serum can be included in the client’s anti-ageing skincare routine as it contains anti-oxidants and is suited to post aesthetic treatment care. Also launched at the Genop Healthcare event was the Exuviance Sheer Daily Protector SPF 50, an anti-ageing fluid that provides sheer mineral UVA/UVB protection against photo-damage. Said Jefferson: “This sheer lotion has a virtually invisible universal tint that smooths imperfections and helps natural skin tone appear more even. It can be applied over serum or day cream and provides protection from both UVA and UVB rays with PA++++ and SPF 50. “The PA++++ after the product’s name signals the highest possible UVA protection according to European guidelines. This product is also FDA approved. SPF 50 is the maximum UVB protection that is allowed in sunsceens.” Jefferson also spoke about Exuviance DePuffing Eye Serum, which was featured in the July issue of the Professional Beauty print magazine. The serum features a triple micro-roller applicator that gently massages the eye area to enhance circulation while delivering a depuffing complex of botanical ingredients.
