Winner of NailFile Design Challenge announced20 March 2018Calgel’s Elaine Timcke and Luanda Else with Debora Franks (centre) Pretoria-based nail tech, Debora Franks, has won NailFile’s first ever Photographic Nail Design Challenge, themed ‘Pop Art’.Sponsored by Calgel, the ‘Pop Art’ Nail Design Challenge attracted several highly creative and beautiful designs, with Franks coming out top with her clever use of theme, artistic design, intricate work and overall exceptional presentation.Coming in a close second and third with their stunning work were Nadia Erasmus and Nonna-Marie Greyvenstein respectively. The Calgel prize was handed over to Franks at her home-based nail salon in Claremont, Pretoria, by Calgel’s Luanda Else and Elaine Timcke, on 13 March. Valued at R1,200, the prize included various colour gels, base/sculpting gels, top gels, Calgel’s new pastel colour range and loose glitter. Some additional free items were included in the hamper.
