Ingestible skincare appeals to male demographic 23 April 2018 New research in which 480 male and female consumers in the UK and France were questioned about their attitudes toward skincare, health and appearance, suggests that men are far more open to the idea of ingestible skincare than women. The research was conducted by New Jersey-based lycopene ingredients specialist, Lycored, which maintains that while women have traditionally been the target market for skincare products, men like the idea of ingestible skincare as they want to spend less time on skincare regimens. In addition, men lean towards a pragmatic, solution oriented approach to things. Lycored also revealed that younger men are particularly likely to want to take a pill or supplement for skin health and that men generally, like women, are willing to spend more money on quality skincare products.
